Life Economics Lab (LEL) is an organization created to promote the study and practice of an economy based on the optimal reproduction of life on the planet, meaning an economy based on life.
In order to achieve an economy based on life in practice, LEL promotes institutions based on the concept ecosystemic value in every country and region.
LEL fosters progress in the Global South by connecting key leaders and institutions with international funding and best practices in cutting-edge technologies, companies, and knowledge.
Ecosystemic Value
Ecosystemic Value is a political economy theory which argues that all value does not come from labor, but from the ecosystem. In this sense, human labor and innovation only have meaning when they are mixed with the other elements of nature and become part of the whole planetary ecosystem.
Both: the theory of ecosystem value and the practice of economies based on life are now developing theories and practices that LEL aims to develop and expand by exporting the best knowledge, technology and innovation around the planet.
