Module 10: Real Estate Development and Property Districts
In this session, we analyzed how real estate development can drive local economies when connected to strategic infrastructure, public–private investment, and a social impact approach.
Based on international case studies and real experiences in Colombia — such as the cocoa processing plant presented by the Tolima team, and Puerto Antioquia — participants explored models for creating productive districts that generate employment, foster innovation, and promote sustainable territorial transformation.

Module 9: Industrial and Business Development

Session 8 – Entrepreneurship Development
In this module, we explored how territories can foster innovative ideas and transform them into sustainable projects. Through practical tools and inspiring case studies, our territorial leaders strengthened their ability to create entrepreneurial ecosystems that generate employment, innovation, and local economic development.

Session 7 – Industry Analysis
In this session, the participants of TEC Territories explored how industries operate in their territories: which sectors concentrate the most activity, where economic leakages occur, and what opportunities exist to strengthen local value chains.

In the synchronous session of Module 6, we analyzed the local market and identified the services that are currently provided outside each municipality. This exercise allowed us to recognize both the existing opportunities and shortcomings, with the aim of more accurately guiding the economic processes in the territory.

During this synchronous session of Module 5, we examined approaches to profiling the territorial economy of municipalities, focusing on the identification of opportunities and the application of practical tools to enhance financial decision-making.

This is how we experienced our meeting with Professor Alexander Meeks in the fourth module of Economic Development Theory.
